The Original Ken Miles Dolphin Race Car Body Has Been Discovered
After six decades missing, racing legend Ken Miles’ Dolphin race car body has been discovered in San Diego by custom car builder & filmmaker Shannon Wafford.
Originally built in El Cajon, CA in 1963, this Dolphin was:
✅ Owned by Otto Zipper (Porsche, Alfa, Ferrari fame)
✅ Driven by Ken Miles before joining Carroll Shelby
✅ The ONLY Dolphin built with a Porsche 4-cam RS engine
This rare piece of racing history was later tied to the creation of America’s first supercar, the Vector, before vanishing.
In March 2024, Shannon located the missing Dolphin body, ending a decades-long mystery and preserving this incredible piece of racing history.
